The Salem Observer - now FREE!The Salem Observer is now free

Your hometown newspaper is now available to you for free every week.

The Observer has been your hometown newspaper for more than 40 years and now we are greatly expanding our distribution in Salem, Windham, and Pelham.

Please visit our newsstands page for a complete list of hundreds of locations where you will be able to pick up your free copy in the future.

“The Observer’s conversion from a paid subscription newspaper to a free newspaper allows us to circulate more copies of the Observer every week, making the paper more accessible to our readers and advertisers,” said Amy J. Vellucci, president of Neighborhood News Inc., which publishes the Observer. “This change also results in a better fit with the business model for the company’s other community newspapers, which are distributed free every week.”

In addition to publishing The Salem Observer, Neighborhood News also publishes The Bow Times, The Bedford Bulletin, The Goffstown News, The Hooksett Banner and The Manchester Mirror. The total circulation of all six community newspapers is 76,800 every week.
