MVP plans spring break clinic

HOOKSETT – MVP Baseball Academy, New Hampshire’s newest baseball and softball training center located in Hooksett, will offer a baseball camp during school vacation from Feb. 28 to March 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The camp will be conducted by MVP-certified instructors and is open to players 7 to 12 years old. The camp will focus on pitching, catching, fielding and hitting.

Players will be grouped by age and ability. Reservations are necessary since enrollment is limited. The deadline to register is Friday, Feb. 25.

Hornets seek ASA softballers

BEDFORD – The Bedford Hornets ASA softball club has positional openings for talented softball players on its 12- and-younger team, as well as pitching spots on its 14-andyounger team.

The Hornets focus on providing a fun, positive learning environment while playing and/or practicing year-round. Interested players should call Scott Stratton at 472-4044 for 12U information or Jay Brewster at 471-0524 for 14U information.

Hooksett lax adds Feb. 23 sign-up

HOOKSETT – Due to recent snowstorms, Hooksett Lacrosse is offering another registration for interested first through eighth-graders on Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Cawley Middle School.

EYAA fundraising dinner is this Saturday, Feb. 19

EPSOM – The Epsom Youth Athletic Association boys and girls travel basketball teams are holding a silent auction and spaghetti dinner on Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Epsom Fire Station recreation room to help the teams raise money to attend the spring hoops tournament in Medway, Mass.

There will be plenty of items to bid on, food, raffles and lots of door prizes for the kids. The auction will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and the dinner will run from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Donations are $5 for adults and $3 for children 4 to 12. Children 3 and younger are admitted free.

Youngsville Junior Baseball sets registration dates

MANCHESTER – Youngsville Junior Baseball will have baseball sign-ups at the Weston School on Hanover Street in Manchester on three Thursdays – Feb. 17, March 10 and March 17 – from 6 to 8:30 p.m., as well as Saturday, March 19, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All 4- to 12-year-olds of team age by Aug. 1, 2005, are welcome to register.
