Flames’ results
The Fournier Trucking Inc. Flames Pee Wee B team tied the Dover Stars Pee Wee A team at Manchester’s JFK Coliseum recently, 4-4, in a Granite State League game. Easton Dubois scored first on a feed from Sam Swenson. Then Kevin Shaughnessy quickly scored on assists from Kody Kienia and Cam Williamson. Alex Desrosiers followed just 25 seconds later with another Fournier score; Jacob Valluzzi earned an assist. Dover answered with four straight goals, but Desrosiers netted the equalizer near the end of regulation.
Tom Cowan stopped six of eight shots he faced in net, while David Belanger stopped five of seven shots fired at him in goal.
The Pee Wee B team crushed Burlington’s B team, 11-1. John Garrity and Dubois scored early. Desrosiers, Erik Glendye, Sam Swenson, Michael Ahern, Valluzzi, Williamson, Shaughnessy and Andrew Robillard all added to the offensive output. Cowan and Belanger combined to thwart seven of eight Burlington shots.

SCARY FOE – The New Hampshire Avalanche Bantam 90B team won the 16-team Haunted Shootout, which included squads from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and the Granite State. In a 3-2 Dual State win over Acton, Mass., Desrosiers scored twice and Swenson once to lead the offense. Swenson, Dubois, Jason Fournier and Desrosiers earned assists. Cowan turned aside Acton’s third-period flurry. Belanger also played well in net.
In a 4-3 win over Henniker’s B team, Alex Desrosiers scored twice, and Cam Williamson and Sam Swenson also tallied. Williamson, Jonathan Garrity, Swenson, Desrosiers and Andrew Hall passed for assists. In net, Tom Cowan stopped 11 of 13 shots, while Dave Belanger saved 10 of 11.
The Flames then handled Billerica’s 2C team in Tyngsboro, Mass., 2-0. Cowan and Belanger shared the shutout, while Erik Glendye scored both goals. Kevin Shaughnessy and Williamson had assists.
In a 6-3 win over the Spartans minor team at JFK Arena, Desrosiers scored four times, and Andrew Robillard and Glendye also found the net. Easton Dubois, Jacob Valluzzi, Swenson and Ethan Siemiesz had assists.
A 4-1 win over the Wildcats Pee Wee 2 team capped the strong weekend. Glendye, Ryan Lopes, Desrosiers and Dubois scored the goals, including Lopes’ first of the year. Cowan and Belanger were aided by a strong defense, which allowed just seven shots on net.

The Hate to Paint Pee Wee A Flames won the Black Cat Tournament at Tri-Town Arena.
The Flames started with a shutout against the Jr. Monarchs with Chris Platek scoring the winning goal on assists from Kyle Pratte and Chris Straw. Andrew Mathieu added two insurance goals, assisted by Kevin Turner, Jim O’Connor and Josh Robidoux.
The Flames then beat the Avalanche, 4-1. Mathieu, O’Connor, Pratte and Sean Burke scored. Mac Myers, Robidoux and Turner added assists.
The Flames again faced the Avs, this time for the championship. JJ Solloway was flawless in net, leading his team to a 2-0 win. Straw and O’Connor tallied.
In other games, the Flames beat Nashua, 5-2, in Granite State play with Burke and Mathieu each scoring twice and Pratte adding the fifth goal.
A 9-1 win over Methuen in the Dual State League included Mathieu’s hat trick and two goals each from Pratte and Alex Murphy. Robidoux and Platek rounded out the scoring, while Myers, Burke, Turner, Murphy, Steve Nguyen, Mike Putney and Kyle Tracy added assists.
Hate to Paint defeated Concord recently, 5-1, converting on three power plays. Sean Burke, Jim O’Connor, Alex Murphy and Mac Myers scored the goals, while Chris Straw assisted on the first goal.
Though the Flames outshot the Wildcats, 43-11, they settled for a 1-1 tie. Josh Robidoux scored the only goal in the third period on an assist by Murphy.
In a 4-2 Dual State League win over Chelmsford, Mass., Burke, Robidoux and Straw tallied. Kyle Pratte, Straw, Murphy, Mike Putney and Kyle Tracy set up the goals.
The team’s 4-3 win over Billerica was helped by early goals from Robidoux, Straw and Burke. Steve Nguyen and Putney assisted on one goal each, while Myers assisted on two. Murphy’s breakaway goal was the difference; O’Connor and Robidoux assisted.

The Manchester Bantam C Flames edged the Concord Capitals Bantam II team, 3-2, when Adam Veino found the net with just five seconds remaining. Tyler Lavertu assisted. Doug Steere and Jared Gantt each added a goal and an assist for the winners.

The Bantam C Flames earned an impressive 5-0 Dual State victory over the Hollis Cavaliers Bantam minor team recently. Tom Gagnon, Alex Scarito, Tyler Lavertu, Jared Gantt and Mike Bickford scored for the balanced Flames’ attack. Lavertu, Keith Pilotte, Ben Lynch, Sam Pelletier and Pat Naughton were credited with helpers. Tony Ferendo recorded the shutout in goal.
In an 8-0 shutout win against the Hanover Bantam II team at JFK, Jared Cox and Ferendo shared the victory with flawless work in net. Cam Nybloom, Bickford, Naughton, Gagnon, Adam Veino, Lynch, Pelletier and Gantt tallied. Scarito, Gantt, Lavertu, Lynch, Matt Gillespie, Nybloom and Kyle Sullivan earned assists.
Lady Monarchs’results
The CMC Lady Monarchs U12Ateam dropped a 4-1 decision to the U14 Henniker Huskies recently. Courtney Popsie tallied on a pass from Morgan Enos. Ashley Liotti and Jessica Beck played steady defense for the Lady M’s.
CMC then defeated the host U14 Dover Stars, 3-2. Liotti scored twice, and Enos added the other goal. Wingers Meredith Foote and Cassie Hunter hounded the opposition into crucial mistakes.
The Ladies suffered an agonizing defeat, 1-0, to the Massachusetts Spitfires in Walpole, Mass. Sarah Chalifoux was solid in net, helped by defensemen Allison Gonyea and Megan Kelly. Karlee Guzowski’s quick wrist shot was turned aside near the end of the match.
The U12A team handled the Massachusetts Nighthawks, 6-0. Enos, Popsie, Stephanie Dollard and Hunter scored the goals.
In a 4-0 loss to the Assabet U12 Red team, Chalifoux, Megan Kelly, Beck, Liotti and Gonyea played well in defeat.
The Ladies bounced back, doubling up Biddeford, Maine’s U12 team, 4-2. Enos scored twice, while Guzowski and Hunter also tallied. Guzowski, Hunter, Popsie, Foote and Kylie Pinsonneault earned assists.
The U12A girls defeated the Henniker Lady Huskies U14 team recently, 2-0, at Tri-Town Arena in Hooksett. Morgan Enos and Karlee Guzowski scored for the locals, with assists coming from Courtney Popsie and Jessica Beck. Sarah Chalifoux and newcomer Caitlyn Re were perfect in net, sharing the shutout. Ashley Liotti, Cassie Hunter, Megan Kelly, Allison Gonye and Beck were tough defensively in front of the keepers.

The NH Lady Monarchs U14 team recently shut out the Northshore Vipers U14 team, 4-0. Melissa Lehtinen scored twice, and Shanen Curran and Jen Poulin also found the net in the victory. Sarahanne Cavolo, Alexandria Fouliard, Katherine Dipastina, Allison Arnieri, Kelsey Kaiser and Ann Dipastina had assists.
The Lady M’s then dropped a 1-0 decision to Nashoba Valley’s U16 team, despite another stellar performance in goal by Laura Testerman.
The Ladies finished off the weekend trip with an 11-0 victory against the Connecticut Northern Lights U14 team. Lori Baldassara’s hat trick paced the way, along with a four-point game from Poulin, three-point games from Stephanie Peltak, Claire Ficaro and Lehtinen, and two-point contributions from Cavolo and Fouliard. Fiona Clancy and Arnieri added single goals. Ann and Katherine Dipastina, Samantha Hetzel and Curran added assists.
The team edged Dover’s U16 squad, 4-3. Cavolo scored twice, including the game-winner. Baldassara and Poulin also tallied. Testerman held off a late game flurry in net, with defensive help from Ficaro and Hetzel.
The Lady Monarchs were also nipped by the Assabet Valley U14 White team, 3-2, despite second-period scores from Baldassara and Cavolo.

The Lady Monarchs U12B team won its first regular-season game, 6-4, against York U14/12 Blue. Hanna Foote played well on defense and had an assist on the game-winning goal. Hope Duhaime, Sky Stavros and Andrea Briere also turned in strong defensive efforts. Goaltenders Audrey Currier and Rhianna Godin played well. Kelsie Flynn tallied a goal and two assists. Stephanie Dollard scored two goals. Brittany Premo had a goal and an assist. Ashley Donahue scored the game winner and added an assist. Madalyn Northcutt also scored for the Ladies. Sky Stavros and Kaitlyn Flynn each had one assist.
Avalanche results
The Avalanche Bantam 90B team defeated the Concord Capitals recently as Marc Robitaille and Jeremy Lavoie each notched a hat trick in the one-sided match. Dustin Correia scored twice, while Zy Noury, Tyler Wilson and Matt Gifford added one each. Zach Messier and Matt Emond earned two assists each. Noury and Dan Farrelly played well on defense.
The Avs were shut out by the host Connecticut Whalers, 4-0. Matt Flynn and Jason Aguiar played well in net, aided by Nick Chenette and Gifford’s strong defense.
The Bantams won five straight games to win the Haunted Shootout in Marlboro, Mass. Flynn’s strong goalkeep-ing and scores from Noury and Robitaille led the locals over the New Jersey Ice-House A team.
In a 7-5 win over the Salem Saints Ateam, Corriea turned in a hat trick and Zack Steck added a deuce. John Russo and Lavoie also scored.
Against the Bedford Bears, Mike Nocella sent in the decisive goal in a 3-1 victory. Corriea and Wilson added to the Avalanche tally.
In the semifinals, Russo, Lavoie and Corriea scored in a 3-2 win over the Jr. Monarchs. Ferendo Gaufre was instrumental in the victory.
In a rematch against the Bears in the tourney finals, Wilson tied the score late in the third, then won the game with five seconds remaining in overtime, 2-1.
Chenette, Emond, Gifford, Derek Hansen and Farrelly all played well for the tournament champions. Aguiar was the stopper throughout the final games.

The New Hampshire Avalanche Pee Wee 92B team defeated Salem recently, 3-1. Alex Disciscio, Drew Simoneau and Kyle Pettit scored for the victors. Disciscio and Cameron Cooke had assists. John Ginnard played well in goal.
Jr. Monarchs’results
The Jr. Monarchs Bantam Minor team fell to the Lowell Jr. Lock Monsters, 3-2. Cam Heath and David McCormick scored the goals, with assists from Josh Adinolfo, Cody Vose and Greg Buedeman.
In a 10-2 win over the Avalanche, Heath, Buedeman, Vose and McCormick scored twice. Zack Harisades and Zack Noel also tallied. Tyler Ingerson and Bret Minnehan were strong in net. Jack Hyslip, Foote and Gardiner earned assists.
In a win over the Dover Stars, Adinolfo and Buedeman scored twice, while Austin Miller also found the net. Wes Nelson and Lien were solid defensively.
In a 4-1 loss to Concord, Heath scored the only goal, assisted by McCormick and Miller.
But the Jr. M’s bounced back in a 5-2 win over the Flames. Vose scored twice to lead the attack. Hyslip tallied his first goal of the year. Buedeman and Noel dished for two assists apiece.

The Jr. Monarchs Pee Wee Minor team defeated the WildCats recently, 6-0, behind four goals from David Downie and one each from Derek Clark and Dylan Webster. Clark added two assists, while Steve Connell, Taylor Warden and Aaron Gootee added one each. Chad Livingston and Brendan Garrett combined in goal for the shutout.

MINOR’S MAJOR EFFORT– The New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs Pee Wee Minorteam won the fourth annual Tri-Town Ice Arena Turkey Shootout Hockey Tournament recently with an outstanding team effort and fine goaltending from Chad Livingston and Brendan Garrett. The duo allowed just six goals in fourgames. Team members include Chad Livingston, Steven Devereaux, David Downie, Cody Reagan, Jake Wiser, Derek Clark, Tyler Clark, Nick Moore, Dan Foote, Dylan Webster, Nick Pandelena, Taylor Warden, Adin Sobel, Brendan Garrett, David Donovan, Steven Connell and Aaron Gootee. The Pee Wee Minor team defeated the Somersworth-Berwick Pee Wee 1 team, 4-2. David Downie and David Donovan each had a goal and assist to lead the offense. Aaron Gootee and Cody Reagan also scored, while Dylan Webster had two assists. Steve Connell added another. Adin Sobel and Dan Foote played solid defense in front of strong keepers Chad Livingston and Brendan Garrett.
Bob Cats’results
Brian Gitschier scored the first goal of the season for the Oyster River Bantam Bob Cats, but it wasn’t enough in a 3-1 loss to the Nashua Panthers. Greg Zarembo and Terry Clarke led the Oyster River attack, while Nick Duggan and Ian Young played well on defense.
The Bobcats were doubled up by the Flames, 4-2. Greg Zarembo and Kai Schidlovsky scored. Ian Young, Sam Hewitt and Nick Duggan played well. The ‘Cats shut out the Salem Saints, 1-0, for their first win. Alden Quimby put in the game winner, while goalie Ethan Adamczyk was strong between the pipes. Matt Sullivan and John Petrovitsis led the defense in the win.
Henniker results
The Henniker Huskies Bantam Ateam tied Dover, 2-2. Matt Lennon and Jacob Noyes scored the goals. Lennon, Conner St. George and Zach Roever had assists. Joel Hufault and Danny Fougere played strong games.
Bantam A lost to the Flames, 2-0, despite the strong defense of Hufault, Alex Butterworth and Max Murray, as well as 30 saves by goalie Shelby Kuespert.

At the Friends of New England College Tournament, the Pats Peak Squirt A Henniker Huskies beat the Kearsage Thrashers, 2-0. Cam Carter scored on an assist from Sam Tucker, who added a tally late in the contest. Parker Wheeler earned a shutout by stopping all 17 shots.
Despite being outshot by the Concord Capitals, 20-11, the Huskies earned a 3-2 win on a Nathan Philbrick goal with 0.8 seconds left in regulation. Shane Earley scored the other goals, assisted by Dylan Schlange and Keith Galli.
But in the rematch for the title, the Capitals prevailed, 4-1, despite a strong effort from the Huskies. Tucker scored the only goal in 28 shots on net.
