U11/U12 Hooksett youth soccer

Green Hornets 3 – Blue Man Group 1

Brandon Laass had a pair of goals for the Hornets, while Chris Bourgoin also scored. Reece Kincaid assisted on all three tallies. The Hornets’ defense was led by Darrin Boulay, Jackson Penney and Hannah Willis. JT Flower played well in net for the victors.

Purple Panthers 2 – Yellow Jackets 2

Tim Russell and David Pinsonneault scored for the Panthers, who jumped to a 2-0 lead. Russell and Spencer Scheinert played well in goal for the Panthers.

For the Yellow Jackets, Austin Fox scored twice, assisted by Jason Schmeltz and Kyle Dugan. Kabrina Montambeault played a strong game in the middle, and Riley Fugere led the defense.

Yellow Jackets 2 – Blue Man Group 0

Austin Fox and Jason Schmeltz scored for the Yellow Jackets. Kyle Dugan assisted on both goals. Tyler Foley, Dylan Dow and Dereck DeBlois contributed solid games on defense, while Daniel Lee and Connor Luby combined for the shutout.

The Blue Man Group, sponsored by Hooksett Tool Rental, was led by Jessica Haskell and Tyler Lague.

Purple Panthers 3 – Red Rockers 0

The shorthanded Red Rockers put up a game effort in their loss to the Purple Panthers. Felicia Estrada, Paige Daneau and Kayla McGahey were tough on defense.

Tim Russell, Jacob McNamara and Alissa Pearl each scored for the Purple Panthers. David Pinsonneault and Tim Russell combined for the shutout.

Playoff quarterfinals

Blue Man Group 1 – Red Rockers 0

Alex Dunn led Blue Man Group to victory with the lone goal.

The Red Rockers, depleted by illness, battled behind Jacob Murphy, Kayla McGahey, Dylan McGahey, Trevor Reno and Scott Durham. Ryan Darby was tough in goal.

Purple Panthers 2 – Green Hornets 1

The Purple Panthers defeated the Green Hornets in overtime. Jacob McNamara scored both Panthers’ goals, while Alissa Pearl had an outstanding game at both ends of the field. David Pinsonneault was solid in net.

Alyssa Prior scored the Hornets’ goal, assisted by Reece Kincaid and Brandon Laass. Darrin Boulay, Jackson Penney and Hannah Willis defended for strong keeper JT Flower.

Semifinals

Yellow Jackets 4 – Green Hornets 0

Connor Luby led the way with two goals, and Austin Fox and Riley Fugere added single tallies for the Yellow Jackets. Jason Schmeltz earned a pair of assists. Casey Murphy, Dereck DeBlois, Kabrina Montambeault and Daniel Lee were also solid in the win.

Purple Panthers 1 – Blue Man Group 0

The Panthers downed Blue Man Group on a Tim Russell goal with about two minutes left to play. Katie Vincent and Alissa Pearl led the defense for stalwart goalie David Pinsonneault.

BMG’s Rachel Ford, Alissa Cate, Matthew O’Rourke, Shawn Rees, Tyler Lague, Ryan Lovett, Jessica Haskell, Sam Charland, Brendan Langton, Alex Dunn and Mike Desaulniers played well.

Championship game

Yellow Jackets 2 – Purple Panthers 0

The Yellow Jackets defeated the Purple Panthers to win the Hooksett U11/U12 championship. Austin Fox and Kyle Dugan scored the goals. Keepers Daniel Lee and Jason Schmeltz combined for the shutout. Tyler Foley, Riley Fugere, and Dylan Dow played well on defense for the Yellow Jackets. Casey Murphy produced some fine scoring chances for the champs.

The Purple Panthers battled exhaustion in their third game of the day and still put forth an outstanding effort. Goalie David Pinsonneault played a solid game, as did defensive players Katie Vincent and Alissa Pearl.
