BEDFORD - The Tri-Town U-11 girls soccer team won its second straight championship recently at Rising Stars Sports Complex in Bedford.

The determined group was victorious in a pair of close contests, defeating a strong MISL team, 2-1, in the semifinals, then shutting out the Bedford Classics in the title round, 1-0.

Erin Ducharme and Jenny Cashin shared goaltending duties, helped by the strong defense of Taylor Fortin, Brionne Turcotte, Michelle Oaks and Katy Richardson.

Cashin scored a goal in the semifinal on one end of the field, then made a game-saving stop in net at the end of regulation to preserve the win.

Michele Tremblay delivered the team's other postseason goals, including the championship game's lone tally.

Sidney Elithorpe, Hannah Gifford and Rebecca Manson pressured both MISL and the Classics on the attack.
