A pursuit from two police departments led to the arrest of a Manchester man suspected in a December Dunbarton burglary.

On Monday, Dec. 27, Paul Laramee, 35, of 491 Maple St., Manchester, first eluded Manchester police in a chase and then was spotted in Goffstown by Goffstown police. By the time a Goffstown police officer turned around to pursue Laramee, he had already avoided the police, said Goffstown police Capt. Glen Dubois.

After being informed that a burglary suspect had fled from police and was heading south on Wallace Road, Bedford police officer Danielle Nightingale stopped Laramee’s car by Benedictine Park on Wallace Road, said Bedford police Capt. Paul Roy. Several other Bedford police officers converged on the scene as well.

Laramee was initially arrested by Bedford police on two electronic bench warrants, and then Bedford police discovered an oak jewelry box in his trunk, containing approximately $3,000 of jewelry as well as some teeth, according to court documents.

Bedford police charged Laramee with receiving stolen property, a Class A felony. He was arraigned in Merrimack District Court on Wednesday, Dec. 29. He was held at Valley Street Jail on $10,000 cash bail.

A probable cause hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 5, at Merrimack District Court.

After Bedford police contacted Barbara McCann of Dunbarton, she confirmed that the jewelry box and its contents belonged to her.

Dunbarton police had no comment as the the burglary is still an ongoing investigation, said Dunbarton Police Chief Jeff Nelson.
