Editorial
Show elected officials
that you are watching
Bow voters seem to be content with how their government works as all but one incumbent was re-elected to town, school and Budget Committee seats on Tuesday, May 13 – though some won by a slim margin. But the fact remains, those officials will continue to make decisions on behalf of the town for the next few years. About 25 percent of the 5,851 registered voters in Bow turned out to elect the candidates of their choice and to approve a handful of zoning amendments. Residents should continue this trend of good voter turnout by attending future Board of Selectmen, School Board and Budget Committee meetings throughout the year to keep an eye on their elected officials and to monitor how their money is spent. - Editorials published by Neighborhood News Inc. are written by an editorial board.
