Soccer League scores
with land buy for fields
The Bedford Soccer League is practicing good sportmanship and teamwork by purchasing an additional 12 acres of land to build at least two fields for its players. At the same time, town recreational teams and school teams will have more room to practice and play their games without having to worry if their schedules will be on time. While the town and sports leagues have worked out schedule agreements, the Soccer League’s land purchase will make it easier to adhere to the parties’ plan. This is a win-win situation for all involved in town sports. Coaches and parents should point out the Soccer League’s teamwork approach to their players and children to show them that different leagues can get along and that sportmanship goes beyond the playing field. After all, the coaches’ and volunteers’ hard work and dedication is for the kids – and that’s the way it should be. - Editorials published by Neighborhood News Inc. are written by an editorial board.
