Display Ads
To inquire about placing an advertisement, please call 603-314-0447 or send us an email. Please include your name, address and phone number along with the best time to contact you.
Acceptable/Unacceptable Materials
ACCEPTABLE: We accept "Slicks"
for printing as long as it is the final version. We cannot change a slick
that has been pre-screened for newsprint, (85 lpi). We can use a slick to
scan an image as long as the lpi is 133 or higher and there is no text running
through the picture.
UNACCEPTABLE: We cannot use faxed material for scanning or as a slick. Faxed ads are only an aide for the graphic designers to use as a reference in building your ad. We don't recommend faxing an image for scanning. A clear, crisp, original hard copy is what is preferred. Acceptable File Formats
We cannot accept gif images. Those are basically for web graphics and are for viewing purposes only. Printing of gifs will only result in a muddy and unclear print. We avoid downloading images off the web for this same reason. If you are sure that the image on the web is a jpg and it is larger than the actual size, we may be able to use it but we cannot guarantee clarity. The size of the image and/or logo must be no smaller than 3"x3"; resolution should be no smaller than 96dpi and no larger than 300dpi. PDFs - When sending a PDF, please do not use any security settings.
Acceptable Media and Native Programs
We accept 100mb Zips, Floppies and CDs. We can also accept stuffed native ads (extension .sit or .zip).
When supplying us a native file, please be sure to include all fonts (Mac
fonts only), all graphics, images or logos. Also a hard copy proof must
accompany the file. If supplying a native file using a PC, please supply
a hard copy proof so that we can match fonts as best as we can.
Most Microsoft Word programs
can be used if supplying text only. We do not carry Microsoft Word on our
computers, however, we are able to retrieve the text. Microsoft Publisher is another program we do not carry.
If possible, please convert your Word or Publisher document into a PDF before
sending to us. Email Requirements
When emailing an ad or a logo to us, please provide the following information:
Please allow time for an email to arrive. On rare occasions, email servers, networking and the amount of traffic on the web may delay the time in which email will arrive. Our deadline for receiving email is no later than the Monday before publication date. Please avoid sending email that is larger than 2megs in size. A phone call to your sales rep or to your designer (if known) before sending will inform us to watch for your email. Our email address is long so be sure to check the spelling. Below is the list of emails that are directed toward the art department:
